The Kings Point Amateur Radio Club (KPARC) brings together all levels of ham operators, both newcomers and veterans, to share in the enjoyment of shortwave radio and to be available for emergency communications. KPARC provides emergency communication links to Hillsborough County Emergency Services, hospitals, National Weather Service and links to other Amateur Stations around the country. KPARC REPEATERS 2 Meters: W4KPR 147.090 (146.2 PL Tone) 70 Cm : W4KPR 442.750 (146.2 PL Tone) The Radio Room is located at the East end of the Kings Point Main Clubhouse. Major equipment includes: Two HF transceivers, amplifier, packet, 2-meter and 70cm transceivers, a beam antenna for 20, 15, and 10-meters and a long-wire for all other HF bands. Battery back-up and battery powered handheld VHF-transceivers are available for emergency operations. Computers are interfaced with the equipment. Membership is open to all interested persons. |
